Spring is Here (Maybe)

We have had two days of pleasant, spring-like weather. Yesterday morning the sun was shining on the pool through the plastic cover when I swam and exercised. We didn’t have quite as much sun today, but not much rain either.

Yesterday afternoon, I went on a window-shopping expedition to get decorating ideas for the party next month. We have several stores nearby to walk through: one is an actual party store, one is a dollar store and one sells a variety of merchandise. My feet held up better than I expected and I had a good time browsing. I bought paper plates and napkins, and took home ideas to brainstorm with my kids.

This afternoon, my daughter, son-in-law and my son came over and we tossed ideas around over pizza and root beer. I wasn’t able to show them the rooms we will be using since they were locked up, but I described them and agreed to find out if the piano has been tuned in this millennium. We plan to use simple decorations so no one has to do a lot of work.

One of my cousins dropped by with his wife, also, and contributed to the planning discussion. Then we all had a good visit and parted, looking forward to the upcoming festivities.

P.S. If you are interested, I posted the Hawaii Cruise travel log to my website today—on the travel pages.
