Still Moving

Kurt and Carrie’s dog Handsome, is eating again and resting at home under heavy medication. He seems to be on the mend from the sudden, violent attack of gastro-intestinal illness. We look forward to his speedy recovery; he is such a lovable big lug.

Over the years and many changes of scenery, I’ve learned a lot about moving heavy objects without lifting. Today I emptied an oak bookcase, removed the shelf and slid it along the carpet from one bedroom to another. Then I slid a file cabinet into the spot where the bookcase had been and put my printer on top of it. I moved all the stuff out of the bookcase by piling it on a teacart on wheels and pushing it from one room to the other. Now the office part of my bedroom is all along one wall, next to the baseboard heater, which will be nice for winter. The other bedroom still needs a lot of work

My swim last night was so enjoyable I’m planning on another dip tonight. I may actually get back to some writing in the next few days, now that I have space to bend my elbows.

The little geek paperclip with the big eyes that Word sics on me to watch what I write, keeps scolding me for where I put my commas. Obviously I’ve lived too long and the rules have changed. I’m sure it’s not because I’ve forgotten them.
