Unlimited Access to Study Results

Unfortunately, my email inbox is often loaded with information regarding the results of studies of all kinds and the AOL and Comcast news sites point to others. If you sign up for any health related newsletters, you are inundated with information. It’s difficult, at times, to determine who has paid for these studies. If they are reported by pharmaceutical companies or other vendors who are selling products recommended by the studies, they are suspect as far as I’m concerned. But I don’t always know

It has occurred to me I waste a lot of time reading these reports, so I’ve started deleting many of them and getting myself off mailing lists wherever possible.

Tonight I’m looking forward to a trip to Southern California to visit my youngest sister. At least one other sister will be there and maybe both. For a good many years now, we’ve gotten together at least once a year for up to a week of fun. Last year we celebrated my 80th birthday and combined the party with an annual cousins’ get-together. Next year we hope to celebrate my next youngest sister’s 80th birthday.

My writing class started Spring Quarter today. The number of students is smaller this time than the winter group, which makes the class more enjoyable. We can get around to more people reading their work. We had some good laughs today. Of course, none of our life stories are all humor, but sprinkling it in wherever possible makes the sharing more enjoyable.
