Unpacking and Packing Stuff from Room to RoomWe did a lot of unpacking, sorting and putting things away today. It was tough to spend a beautiful day inside, but we persevered. I think only one item will have to go in the attic. I’ve misplaced the list of what’s up there already, so it won’t hurt to get a peek. Tomorrow the manager will inspect the apartment. She will be doing all of them in the next month or so. I don’t envy her that job. This one shouldn’t be a problem because it was painted when I moved in and new blinds were put up in two rooms. Maybe we’ll get new blinds or drapes for the bedrooms. That would be good. I’ll try to remember to mention to her that porch and deck railings could use some paint before we get splinters in our hands. It’s fun to turn those little chores over to someone else, whether or not they get done. We have lots of lamps and clocks now. With few overhead lights, it’s good to have many lamps. I’m not sure about all the clocks. Most of the time I don’t need to know what time it is and my computer screen generally has it posted anyway.
I sent an email to my doctor yesterday thinking she would read it Monday and I’d get her answer in a day or two. Imagine my surprise when she replied this morning. Kaiser’s email consultation service is really helpful. It saves on co-payments and trips to the clinic (gas and auto wear and tear). My computer is a great assistant for many uses.
