Welcome SummerOur summer has belatedly arrived. On this third day of hot weather, I turned on the air conditioner about an hour ago. Since it’s set for 80 degrees, it hasn’t lowered the temperature in here, but it, along with a ceiling fan and a smaller fan, is moving the air to make it feel cooler. Lower temperatures are forecast for the weekend. These three hot days will probably have warmed outdoor pools to comfortable temperatures, so I may try one of those for a change. We had an enjoyable dinner on the deck at Floyd’s daughter’s house last night with about half of his kids and grandkids. The Atlanta family left for Seattle today to fly home from there. Last night’s host family also left today for a Disneyland vacation. In honor of the warmer weather, I painted my toenails. I also bought diet root beer and sugar free ice cream for root beer floats. We’ve had a couple of those already. For weeks we’ve been enjoying the many fruits and berries that are so good this time of year. I’m procrastinating about shopping for a new second television set. I can still listen to the news on the old one; there’s just no picture. I’ve also discovered Hulu, thanks to my son, and can enjoy television shows and movies on my computer with a very limited number of short commercials. I’ll get out and look around when the weather cools down a bit. 0 Comment(s) about this entry. | Permalink |
