What’s New

I’m finally accumulating a few new articles of clothing that fit fairly well. Unfortunately, due to the fact that I’ve shrunk an inch and a half and because most pants now are hemmed for those who wear four-inch heels or higher, I can’t seem to get pants the right length. Petite is too short, and regular too long. The nice young woman at the cleaners down the street is going to be busy again. I still have some things she can take in and some she can shorten.

Once again, writing class was fun this morning. We were a small group, with a number of members absent, so we had more time to enjoy each story.

I’m missing the pool and especially the hot tub, since I have a tiny cut on my arm and haven’t been able to swim for a couple of days. I hope to be able to get back there tomorrow.

We’re having a potluck tomorrow after our T.O.P.S. meeting at the home of one of our members and I’m sure there’ll be lots of good food, so I need to exercise. I deviled a dozen eggs tonight for my contribution.

Today we watched neighbors loading a huge U-Haul truck and trailer for a move to Colorado. They began at daylight and weren’t finished until dark. I suspect they had too many helpers and it might have gone faster with fewer. We are so glad we are not the ones moving. The thought is really overwhelming. If I have my way, I’ll never have to do that again.
