A Long Sigh

After spending half a day yesterday dealing with computer technicians, I was braced to spend whatever part of this day would be necessary dealing with my credit union and my Broadband provider.

Several months ago, we purchased a router to use in forming a computer network in our house. The manufacturer offered a rebate of $99.95. As usual, there were numerous hoops to jump through to obtain the rebate. Finally, I got the check in my hot hands. I waited to see if I would have some book sale funds to deposit with it, but after a week or so, gave up and mailed the deposit to my credit union. That was over two weeks ago. Every day, I’ve checked my online statement and the deposit was not there. Yesterday I decided it’s time to make some noise about it, so this morning I took a deep breath, and started to look for phone numbers where I could whine to a recording or, best case scenario, an actual human being, maybe even one with English as a first language.

But, first, I decided to check the statement one last time, just in case. To my astonishment the deposit was there, on the bottom line. Long exhale.
