Polluted Political Waters

It seems to me that Senator McCain is inadvertently aiding his opponent with his blatant campaign lies. It appears that swimming in polluted political waters for many years, can taint even a stalwart, formerly moral man. One who was, as he repeatedly points out, a military hero. Therefore, contrary to what the Republicans would have us believe, we could be better off with a president who has less political experience.

I am heartened to read that the National Organization for Women is now endorsing Senator Obama. The work of two extraordinary women who set up a website for Women Against Sarah Palin is remarkable. They have achieved an unbelievable response. Misjudging the intelligence of American women is a bad mistake. We are mad as hell and not going to take any more paternalistic condescension.

It is also possible, and I am hopeful, that more women will get out to vote because of being aroused by this controversy. I am convinced the majority of women in this country are smarter than to be fooled by a slick politician. Interesting times? Yes, indeed.
