Nit Picking Line Editing

This week I’ve been editing and tightening my memoir stories as I attempt to weave them together. It’s tedious work, but I find the results satisfying. My critique group went over about twelve pages with me and further fine-tuned them. The more times I go over all those old stories, the less emotional impact they carry.

We did get out into the gorgeous sunshine briefly to go to lunch. Unfortunately, Floyd became ill while we were there, so we came back home and brought his uneaten food with us. When he feels better, he may enjoy it.

Maybe my failing memory leads me to believe that the fall leaves look better this year than last, but the colors are sensational.

Already I’ve tired of keeping food diaries. I never did embrace the concept. If I can just achieve notable weight loss without recording every bite of food, maybe I can get off the hook. This week has not been a huge success in the weight loss effort. But I’ll persevere. From numerous websites I’ve learned what foods are too high in calories/fat/potassium/sodium etc. ad nauseam. Not eating them is the next challenge.
