Second or Third Wind

Fortunately the excitement of looking forward to a special event seems to furnish extra adrenalin and energize me to get the necessary chores done. I hope I haven’t used it all up already, but I feel really exhausted tonight. A good night’s sleep should help a lot.

After moving stuff around yesterday and today because of carpet cleaning, I had to unload the shelves on the television stand in the spare room/office tonight. The cable service people will be here tomorrow afternoon to hook us up to digital. When I moved in here, I signed up for basic minimum service and apparently got more than that. So we’ve had extra channels all this time and would lose them tomorrow if we didn’t get the conversion equipment installed. We’ve grown accustomed to the extra channels for sports, including figure skating for me, and for Discover and some movies.

Tomorrow I get to reload the shelves. At any rate, it’s a good opportunity to sort through what’s there and get rid of stuff we don’t need.

I’m going to try to sort through some pictures before my sisters get here to see what to keep, set out any they might want, and get rid of extras. That task shouldn’t be as energy consuming as moving furniture, etc. around.

And now to get started on tonight’s sleep. A good one, I hope
