An Unwriting Day

No writing activities managed to creep into my schedule today. After swim/exercise class, a little laundry, and a little lunch, I did some organizing for pre-trip packing. Errands and a neighbor’s garage sale took the rest of the afternoon. Then we went out to dinner and I’m out of energy.

Last night I pulled some stories together for possible contest entries. With a little more polishing, one or two should be ready to send out soon.

A couple of recent poems are already entered in contests and it’ll be a while before I hear anything about those.

Tomorrow I’m going with Al to Cascade Locks where he will supervise a tree falling in the yard of his former home. His niece and her husband own it now and recently lost their tenant, who left the yard in very bad shape. We may be back in time for me to get some writing done.

At Wordstock, I visited the Comcast C-Span table. I must have given them my email address, because today I received the C-Span book TV schedule for the weekend. I printed it, so I won’t have to hunt and peck with the remote to see what’s on at any given time. Unfortunately, some of the most interesting writers will be on in the wee small hours of the morning, Pacific Daylight Time.
