A Better Day Today

It’s amazing how much better I feel after four or five consecutive nights of good sleep. The lunch/support group met today and we had a delightful conversation. There were six of us, ranging in age from 40’s (I think) to 80’s and we talked about all the changes we’ve seen over the years, from laundry facilities to electronic gadgets. Two of the women are mother and daughter.

One gal brought her Kindle to show us, and another speculated about how long it will be before we have an electronic combo of iphone, Kindle, computer, etc. to do it all in one gadget in the palm of a hand.

Then I came home and read about the experiments to develop automobiles that drive themselves that are expected to allow us old folks to keep driving indefinitely. Sadly, they probably won’t be perfected in time for my generation, but very possibly will be around for our kids and/or grandkids—unless, of course, they will be transporting themselves through the air by then.

What wondrous days we live in.
