Brrr!

I just read about a couple who have chosen to live without central heat in a very cold part of the country. They do provide heating pads for guests to sit on and use electric blankets in cold bedrooms. He writes a blog about their experiment that you can access from the following address:

If all our winters had weather as good as this one, some of us might get by without much heat. Today was a gorgeous day. I had all the heat turned off for several hours. A friend on Facebook commented this morning that her area in Southern California would have 80 degrees today and light winds—only slightly better than what we had.

Flowers are popping up all over and trees are starting to bloom.

And the Winter Olympic figure skaters are dazzling me every night. Fortunately I took a nap today so I can stay up to the end of the men’s short program and still get up in the morning in time to get to my 9:00 a.m. writing class.
