Sunny or NotNow that it’s almost April, this program finally got the date right. I’ve had to correct it all month until today. Yesterday was bright and sunny so I did a little gardening in the planters on the deck and planted pansies in a pot for the front steps. Today it rained and our forecast is for rain or showers almost every day this week. We can use the rain and our mountains can use the snow. I keep noticing that I’m slowing down, but I guess that’s to be expected. Most days I need a nap, or at least a rest with my feet elevated. On the days when I spend an hour working out at the pool, I don’t get as many chores done at home. The good part is—nobody cares. I care that I don’t get as much writing done as I’d like. I have so many memoir stories that need editing and more that need to be started from scratch. My writing class starts up again Wednesday so I’ll be more motivated to keep seated in front of this computer. A couple of other responsibilities are winding down. A new leader will be installed for TOPS in April. The weight loss maintenance study will also come to a close, but I will continue to meet with some of the alumni. We support each other in keeping our weight off, even though some of us are having a hard time losing the additional pounds we’d hoped for. How about that? I just ended a sentence and a paragraph with a preposition. If I hadn’t added this paragraph, it would have ended the whole piece. |
