Welcome to Tardy Summer

Finally, we’ve had several gorgeous days. The sun beat down on our indoor pool this afternoon. Usually the plastic pool cover has a filter added in the summer, but it hasn’t shown up yet. Today is probably the first day it was needed. I wore my sunglasses in the pool and sunscreen, but my face felt burnt. However I had a good swim session.

My book-sorting project has bogged down with good weather. I’d rather laze on the deck with a good book than try to decide which stack to discard books into—one for King City Library, one for another library and one for Goodwill. Someone suggested I take some to Powell’s to sell, so I’ll have to decide whether that would be worth the trouble. Maybe I’ll give them a call to see what types of books they buy.

An old friend I hadn’t heard from in months called yesterday and may take some books off my hands.

Another winter is over and I still haven’t dealt with the hundreds, maybe thousands, of pictures that need to be sorted. Hmmm, wonder how many more winters I have. I may have to set up a card table on the deck and make that a summer project.

So stick around, summer, you took a long enough time getting here.
