Hocus FocusAt the end of another long day packing and rearranging furniture to fill the gap left when another piece of Floyd’s is moved out, I’m bushed. By the time I move from one screen to another on this computer, I’ve forgotten where I was going and/or why I switched. So I have to try to focus and get my brain to part with the right piece of information to keep me seated here and off my aching feet. I just got a call from the T.O.P.S. (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) gal who has the program for tomorrow’s meeting. She asked me to come up with several tips about how I got to my goal weight. Hopefully, a night’s sleep will help me think clearly enough to help her out. Our apartment manager dropped by today to bring us some spray for the carpenter ants who have started coming in out of the heat. She said our apartment is already rented, sight unseen (at least of the interior). Also, the repairs to my future digs are nearly finished, so I may be moving sooner than I anticipated. I have a good start on the packing and have done a lot of sorting and tossing to make the whole job easier. But, of course, there is always more to be done. The biggest job is yet to be started. Hundreds, thousands or maybe even millions of pictures need to be eyeballed and many will be tossed. A good number need to be removed from frames, a time-consuming task. I’m thankful that most of my pictures of trips are on computers and/or CD’s. Most of the ones that aren’t are in albums and can be moved easily. I got to the pool last night, but my feet won’t take me there tonight. They’ll get me to bed, possibly earlier than usual. |
