Lady Luck, Missing Muse

Several years ago I attended a writing conference at Yachats, Oregon. It was a “hands on” experience where the participants did a lot of writing. A columnist for a Portland newspaper held a workshop that fascinated me. I’ve often thought I’d like to write a column; I just hate deadlines.

So I’m still trying to figure out why I started this blog and gave myself a deadline to produce an entry every day. So far, it works. It also gets me started on other writing projects on some days. Not as many as I’d like recently, but that should get better when events in my personal life settle back into a regular schedule.

Historically, I have seldom won any money or prizes in any types of contests. I don’t think I’d ever won anything at Bingo until recently. The last time I played I won one $3.00 pot. Last night, I won two Bingos for a total of $10.00 plus some coins. Maybe my luck is changing.

My poetry muse may even find her way back to my side again. I wait breathlessly.
