And Away We GoWell, we signed all the papers to sell the house today. The last step will be approval of the buyers by the park. The couple is a bit young, she 54+ and he about 50. But by the time they move in (Probably sometime in July) she will be four months away from 55. I imagine it will go through. Funny the little things that expedite a sale. I jokingly said I’d throw in my huge ficus and she jumped at that. I’ve been trying to give it away for several years because it’s so big, so it’s a win-win situation. They also were concerned about whether they could keep their Verizon DSL. I told them that’s what we have here, so there should be no problem. Now, the really hard part starts—nailing down the apartment we want at King City. I’m going to check tomorrow on availability. We may have to move into one with only one bath, until a two bath is available, but I hope that won’t be the case. The buyers did say that if we didn’t find what we wanted right away, they would be willing to give us another month. I got the impression they wouldn’t mind having that extra time themselves. Tomorrow night we go to an airport hotel where we’ll spend the night and fly to Osaka on Tuesday morning. Our bags are packed, so we’ll just have a few last minute things to take care of tomorrow. So adios until May 31 when we return. The blog entries may not return until June 1st or later, depending on how tired and rushed I am. |
