Sleepy Sunday

My day got off to a quiet start—had coffee on the balcony in the morning sun. Sunday was peaceful at that early hour with very little traffic and just a few dog walkers out and about.

The day soon became busier putting away more books and miscellaneous bric-a-brac. In mid-afternoon I took the wet clothes to a Laundromat and dried them, buying a few groceries while I waited.

Before I drove back home, I went by our old place and the female half of the new owners came out and invited me in to see what they were doing. They have been busy. Major renovations are taking place to suit their taste and their needs. We’ve been invited to see the final results. It should be a showplace when they finish.

I finally took time, whether or not I could afford to, (not) and had a swim in the indoor pool. There was a small friendly group swimming who said they are there every day at 5:00 p.m. There are water aerobics classes three mornings a week and several evenings. The water temperature was very comfortable. The pool ranges from three to five feet deep. The hot tub is fabulous, but at only 8:00 p.m. I’m falling asleep.

I learned there is a kidney shaped outdoor pool that goes to nine feet deep that I’ll probably try out on some not-too-hot day soon. The outdoor pool closest to us I haven’t checked out yet.

A musical program is scheduled at Town Hall, next door, tomorrow morning at 10:30 a.m. I hope that installation of our new toilet doesn’t interfere with attending that performance. I think we’ve seen the gal before. She does a mean Patsy Cline imitation. If we ever get unpacked, we could turn into social butterflies. Meanwhile, I’d better remember to get back to my writing.
