A Welcome Home Day

Yesterday was one of those days that Mother Nature teases us with here in the Pacific Northwest before another onslaught of rain makes us long for the sun. We spent the afternoon and evening with friends, at a mountainside lodge, and enjoyed a Dungeness crab feast that was a real welcome home. We were actually able to sit outside in sweaters and let the sun warm us, as it had in the Caribbean.

I’m caught up on the laundry, but still need to put away a lot of things. I’m in spring-cleaning mode mentally, but my body is not responding yet. In less than a year, we’ve managed to crowd closets and drawers and need to start winnowing the clutter in this place.

A good swim and hot tub session tonight has me relaxed and ready for bed. I’m still procrastinating about editing the travel logs I wrote on the cruise and getting pictures sorted to go with them to get them on my website. Sometime, soon.
