A Happy Holiday

We spent the afternoon on this Christmas Day in Scappoose, Oregon, about 35 miles from here. We had a lovely dinner at the home of my cousin and his wife. One of their daughters joined us. My daughter and son-in-law went along with us.  A niece of mine from Seattle also came to the dinner.

A damp, chilly day was made much more pleasant with good food, good company and good wine.

Emails from my son tell us that he and his wife arrived in San Francisco on Thursday morning, although their flight was delayed. He said he has been eating ever since he got there and is getting a good rest.

He enjoys watching his wife interact with her sisters. He has seen me and my sisters (all much older) get together and compared the two groups. He finds it interesting that we get along so well even with our diverse backgrounds.

Here’s hoping all my readers are having enjoyable holidays and will find the New Year happy and peaceful.
