Post Tsunami Nightmare

As each day passes and the death toll figures rise, it becomes more mind-boggling to try to imagine the horror of the tsunami survivors’ situation. Unless it’s possible to get all the disease dangers under control quickly, many more people will die. Getting life back to whatever was “normal” before the disaster, if possible at all, may take years.

We can hope that, with help from the rest of the world, the future of the damaged areas might be better than the past. Any semblance of normal life will be a long time in coming.

I’m proud of the medical and relief personnel from our country, and others, who are risking their lives to help however and wherever they can.

We all need to be thankful for what we have and where we live. And we must offer as much help as we can to those whose need is beyond comprehension.
