Happy New Year

Today I found a chiropractor whose office is only about a mile from here. He is young, but I like his manner very much. He explains every thing he is going to do and why. Most of what he told me about my condition I expected. Deteriorating vertebrae, and muscle reactions to the strains of holding my head too far forward or up too high, to see various sections of the computer keyboard were easy to understand. I was surprised to learn that two of my ribs were out of place.

When I got home, Al helped me raise my computer monitor with phone books as a temporary measure to determine how tall a platform to build for it. My corrective lenses are trifocals, so I need to work with the new height awhile to be sure it is the best solution. We also talked about raising the television screen and are still trying to work out that change.

We are planning a quiet New Year’s Eve playing Scrabble after a spaghetti dinner with candlelight and wine.

Happy New Year to all my readers and may all the homeless and hungry in the world have a better year in 2005.
