Bingo, Bango, Bongo

I finally won a buck at Bingo. Four bucks to be exact. Unless my memory fails me I’ve never won a dime before in all my days. One number was all I lacked for the $50.00 blackout, but a miss is as good (or bad) as a mile. Of course, I’ve already spent more than $4.00, even at 50 cents per card, but like the sore-armed casino addicts, it only counts when you win.

It is heartening that my blog is getting some attention. My relatives and friends have mixed feelings about being mentioned. One is as thrilled as if he were going to be famous. Another wants clarification of some of my remarks.

Now, if I can only lure book buyers to the site, my efforts will be completely justified. But whether or not my scribblings sell books, I am exercising my arthritic writing muscles, finger bones and head bone.

My writing class starts next week and I look forward to seeing my classmates again and hearing their stories.

Struggling with problems transferring hundreds of poems from the old laptop to the new notebook computer really slows down my writing. Every time I buy any new hardware, I’ve already forgotten anything I knew the last time. Most of it is probably obsolete anyway and sometimes I wonder if I am.
