Ms. Muse MusesThis is what I wrote Wednesday night, but couldn’t get it posted. Here it is! Should have written this earlier; I’m sleepy and tired tonight. My desktop computer is having convulsions or some such thing, so my trusty new notebook is helping me with this. My writing class was really fun today. In spite of the fact that our number is 13 students we do well together. Such a motley mix is not often seen. From the young man with rings in his lip to the retired engineer learning to write with the other side of his brain, along with women in almost every age group, size and shape, we write and read. We laugh and cry over life stories, marvel at fiction contributions, and once in a while consider a poem. Today I read a verse I’d written in grammar school as an introduction to an essay on my school days. The school days piece needs more work before it’s ready to join stories of other areas of my life, but it did get a couple of laughs today. For me, making people laugh is a rare joy. We all need so many more laughs than we normally get. < < back |
