Clutter Mutterings

Straightening closets always makes me feel virtuous. I would feel like a saint if I could actually keep them neatly organized. Today I got all my jackets out of the guest closet so that guests might actually be able to hang up their coats. Then I managed to tidy half of the double closet in my office. The triple closet in the bedroom will have to wait for a huge burst of energy. Spring is nearly here, but I’ve sprung an energy leak.

Somehow my closets tend to become repositories for stacks of stuff that need to be sorted. I will probably go to my death leaving unsorted piles of papers. My intentions are good, but my computer is so seductive.

This desktop computer clicks every time another email pops into my inbox and lures me away from whatever I should be doing.

You know you’re losing it, or spreading yourself too thin, when you look at two different dates on two calendars for the same medical appointment. Duh. So I had to call the clinic and admit my stupidity to learn which date was correct. Fortunately I discovered the error yesterday, because the appointment was for today.
