Sorting Out My Life

Part of the purpose of all the sorting I’ve been doing, is to gather information for my memoirs. I knew I had saved at least one of my old resumes, but couldn’t find the file. Today I stumbled on a file titled “Kudos, Resumes, and Employment Records.” How conceited is that?

When I start destroying papers in anticipation of my demise, I want to be sure to leave that one behind.

Anyway, I found three old resumes that pretty well tie together all the dates of my employment history. Those will be very helpful in triggering my memory.

I don’t know whether the touch of flu I had last week, or the injured rotator cuff, or reading about all the years I worked so hard, has stolen my energy this week. Every time I sit down I fall asleep. I’ll be the life of the party next week when my sisters and I gather together in Southern California. I guess they can toss me in the hosting sister’s pool if they want to wake me up.

I recently noticed that my next-door neighbor finally tore down the tattered scarecrow in the fence corner outside my office window. He also put up a bird feeder, that I really appreciate. That and the heavily berried bush in my yard attract all sorts of birds into my line of vision. Now if he would just ditch that ugly satellite dish on his roof between the naked trees, my view would be perfect.
