Around the Neighborhood

I continue to enjoy living in this community. In the swimming pool, I’ve received all sorts of invitations to other types of activities, such as croquet or ceramics and, at coffee clatches, I’ve been invited to learn lawn bowling or bridge. People are certainly friendly. I hope I’ve not antagonized them by not joining in these pursuits. What I enjoy most is reading and writing and, of course, getting exercise swimming and performing water aerobics. Those are the things I do when I’m not taking care of household chores.

Other available recreation that I participate in occasionally is monthly Bingo and the musical performances. There’s certainly no excuse for being bored around this place. Certainly living in a senior community is not for everyone and I’m not doing a commercial for King City. It does seem to have most everything I need and want, however.

My former home in Eldorado Villas is still for sale. I haven’t had a chance to talk to the owners or anyone else there who knows the whole story. It’s strange that they jumped into major renovations as soon as they took possession and are selling less than a year later. Maybe I’ll get some answers eventually or maybe it will stay a mystery.

And now, back to gathering memoirs.
