Hollywood Spurned

A former writing instructor of mine, who teaches Screenwriting at Portland State along with performing many other writing-related activities, is starting a summer project to produce short videos about and for senior citizens. He plans to post them on the web. He sent out an email to all his acquaintances over age 65 who might be interested in acting in his productions asking if any would be interested in taking a screen test. I was flattered to be included in that group.

However, since on bad days I can’t even remember my address, the idea of memorizing lines is terrifying. So, I declined, but expressed my interest in keeping updated on the project, which I will do by reading his blog.

There goes another chance for fame, if not fortune. However, it should be fun to see some of my peers acting in little videos when he gets the project going.
