Back to Keyboarding

Well, time has flown and I haven’t been back to blog writing for days now. Life goes by even more quickly in Summer than in Winter, but the weather (on good days) makes it much more enjoyable.

Tomorrow the window washers will be here at long last. I can’t believe I put up with dirty windows for nearly a year before I got around to hiring cleaners. I don’t do tall ladders anymore and I don’t want Floyd on them either, so we’ll let the professionals do it. Because this unit is on a hill, two windows are second-story height and the others are closer to ground level. The sliding glass doors open onto a deck/balcony, so are not so hard to do. It’ll be good to see the many lovely trees around the area more clearly.

I hope to get the stack of filing done that’s sitting atop the printer under the bedroom window before they arrive, but, if not, I’ll have to stash it elsewhere.

Over the weekend we had some good swims and hot tub dips and heard a couple of different bands at the resort where we camped in a friend’s RV. I also finally learned a little about Texas Hold ‘Em when Floyd played it with a group Friday night. I kibitzed and enjoyed the variety of personalities with and without poker faces. With very low stakes, no one was playing very seriously which made it more fun.

We discovered that it takes at least 24 hours, at our ages, to recover from an active weekend. Naps were the major occupation for me today, and Floyd slept almost continuously from the time we arrived home yesterday until morning, then napped again when he got home today.

I may even have enough energy now to last until bedtime. We’’ll see.
