Getting Back in the Groove

After struggling through the whole Hawaii trip with a too-small purse, fitting a billfold in and out like a sardine, I bought a new bag as soon as I got home. The tag said “light inside.” Good, I thought, black billfolds and other accessories will show up against a light background.  I discovered an actual light bulb was inside that went on when I opened it and, like the refrigerator light, I assume it goes off when I close it. What fun! I don’t know how long it will last, but it’s very helpful while it’s there. The lining is also a light color, as I suspected.

I am totally prepared to vote on the two ballot measures in this election, having studied carefully. There’s just one little glitch. I can’t find my ballot. I think I put it somewhere before I left so it would be readily available and I don’t have a clue where.

The journal I kept on the trip is finished; now I have to edit and put it up on the website. Then I can get back to the memoir stories.

I also need to study the manual for my new all-in-one printer, copier, scanner and Fax machine to scan and print pictures, as well as text.

Our weather is still sunny and bright, but the air is cool and crisp. The leaves are still colorful, but falling fast. Rain is on the way, the weather pundits say. I can wait, even though we do need the water.

Another swimmer told me today that the spa contractor will be pouring concrete tomorrow. I don’t know what that means in terms of the amount of time until the job is completed. It will be wonderful to have the hot soaks available after the winter swims.

Soon I hope to be back in the groove, or rut, as the case may be.
