Google Geography

Google Analytics tells me that I have had visitors from fourteen countries since my website is on its new server. All but two, Ireland and Canada, represent one visit each for slightly over one minute only. But it’s nice that there are people out there who are curious. Ireland and Canada have had four visits each. There is no way to know if these visitors are Americans in foreign countries or citizens of the countries.

The server was down over Valentine’s Day, and it was heartening to notice that was the only day with zero visitors. The count bounced back up on the 15th.

While many web sites get thousands of visitors per day, I will celebrate if I ever reach one hundred. Anyway, it’s fun to reach out and touch someone, even if they are unknown. I do know a few of my viewers are friends and relatives that I hear from.

I need to pack for an overnight trip this weekend. We are promised glorious weather, and I’m looking forward to that. The sun is coming through the fog as I write this.
