Almost On My Way

Eat your hearts out, sports fans. I was in line behind Greg Odon at the grocery store today. Actually, I didn’t even notice him until the fluttering young female clerks were carrying on after he went out the door. I probably should check my receipt to see if I was overcharged for anything. The casher was pretty excited.

I had stopped at a nearby supermarket after I got the oil changed on my car in Tualatin. Tomorrow I will be heading for Ocean Park on the Long Beach Peninsula for a writers’ conference. I’ll be there most of the day Saturday, and for dinner in the evening. I’ll stay for a Sunday morning critique session and brunch before I drive back.

This particular writing seminar is one I’ve attended almost every year for the last ten years or so. It’s always fun and informative. Once in a while, I even sell a book.

I’m packed and ready and just relaxing a bit after my swim and before bed.
