Tote a Tote

Just how many tote bags does one old gal need, anyway? Organizing closet shelves yesterday, I uncovered a dozen or so in various shapes, sizes and colors. I managed to pry one of them loose and put it in a Goodwill bag. Maybe if I pulled out one a week for a couple of months, I could get my stash down to a reasonable level. Tote bags, of course, do not include brief cases. I found at least a half dozen of those. I have a sincere desire to reduce my accumulation of stuff, but it ain’t easy. I tell myself that, if I haven’t used or worn an item in a reasonable amount of time, I should chuck it. With my memory failing, it’s easy to forget what I’ve disposed of and hunt for it later. That’s happened before and is pretty frustrating.

Anyway, after reading Does This Clutter Make My Butt Look Fat, I really want to get rid of as much superfluous stuff as possible. I’ve spent too many years hiding it in closets, behind curtains, etc. Maybe I won’t be any slimmer afterwards, but I’ll probably feel lighter.
