Appropriate Quote

“It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society.” --Krishnamurti

I came across the above quote in my wanderings yesterday and thought how appropriate it is for an election year. I’d like to know in what year it was written. I suppose I could look up the author on Google and get a clue.

The actual purpose of this note today is to advise that we will be at the coast for a few days. We reserved this time at the family cabin several months ago, not knowing what a great time it would be to get out of the city. Our weather is forecasted to be in the 90’s over the weekend. We are leaving this afternoon. If we’re lucky, it’ll start cooling off by the time we get back on Sunday.

I just checked on Krishnamurti and learned the lifespan was from 1895 to 1986, so it’s a more recent quote than I suspected.

And now, we’re off to cool our jets!
