A Day of Varied Activities

Today I concentrated on revising memoir stories. Emails to my sisters have helped me with the story of our first year in Seattle during World War II. Four old heads are much better than one.

Looking back on my teenage years gives me some chuckles now, but the melodrama was not very funny then.

I took a few breaks to do laundry and dishes and read part of the Sunday paper while sitting outside in the sun. I even trimmed a couple of shrubs and some Dusty Miller.

If I sit too long at the computer, assorted body parts complain a lot, especially after I get up and try to move around.

A delightful distraction in the late afternoon was the arrival of an ezine with an article about an Irish writer/poet that was fascinating. He lives in Connemara, a lovely town I have visited and frequents Kenny’s bookstore in Galway, which I also visited on my one trip to Ireland. Of course, I had to take time to read some of his poetry and some of one of his contemporaries.

And now I’m back at my computer. Before exhaustion sets in, I hope to get more stories revised.
