An Exciting Day - Not

Not a very exciting day, Saturday. The highlight was a trip to Bi-Mart to select a new toilet seat. As I told a friend, if I’m going to be pinched in the rear, I’d prefer it not to be by my old cracked, toilet seat. I picked a plush, padded job that is warmer and softer than its oak predecessor.

Actually, that was not the highlight. A chatty email from an old friend was a nice surprise and brightened up a day of routine chores. She is, like me, a survivor. We have other friends dropping away, so the ones who remain become very important.

A late afternoon swim and exercise session loosened my joints.

After a dinner consisting mostly of leftovers, Al and I went to the clubhouse to play Bingo. As usual, neither of us won anything, but it was fun to visit with neighbors. It’s good to see people win blackout who play regularly and can use the money.

I hope to spend Sunday writing and Monday, too, for that matter if I can keep ignoring the dust around me.
