Slow Saturday

Had a quiet day today. I did a little deadheading of flowers, a little mowing, and a little watering outside. Inside, I did as little as possible. Sometimes the clutter in one spot gets to me, so I sorted out stuff in the back bathroom, put some away and threw some away.

The stacks of papers in my office are starting to swallow me up. However, I need most of them close at hand until I finish some writing projects for which they are reference material.

I embraced a privilege of aging and took a long nap in the afternoon. Yesterday was a busier day, and I was up late last night, so I enjoyed the rest and lost my headache.

I had a good phone conversation with my daughter today after she got home from her church luncheon.

Yesterday I had lunch with my son and a nice visit. I also had a short visit with his wife. She has laryngitis but, as an entertainer, is pretty good at pantomime. My son’s webmaster business is growing satisfactorily and he loves the work. We stopped by my son-in-law’s workplace, which is relatively new to him. The work is quite different from what he did at a bank for twenty-five years and he gets very tired, but he seems to enjoy the change. He still works with computers but in a very different way, and he is more involved with people on the phone and in person.

Unless I get inspired to get back to some writing this evening, I may watch a little television. The Starlight parade might be a good choice.
