A Cool Summer Saturday

Today was a good one. I revised some stories, had a swim and a nap, and also cleaned a few kitchen appliances. We went to a barbecue dinner at the clubhouse this evening with live music furnished by Dave Eberle. I enjoyed the music more than the food. I’ve eaten good barbecue so, unfortunately, know the difference between good and bad. My stomach scolds me for ignoring that knowledge.

Tonight we took turns stuffing our heads in the microwave to see if we could figure out where a replacement light bulb might go. There is a plate in the top that opens up for access to a compartment that might contain a light bulb, but we can’t find any trace of one. Sometimes these modern appliances last longer than we might like. A new one would be easier to clean and might even have a light that’s visible to the naked eye.

Time to call it a night. Tomorrow will be here too soon.
