Poetry Contest

Today I did a little routine household maintenance (laundry and dishes). That was after a morning swim.

Then I prepared six poems as an entry to a contest and sent them off via the internet. This is an interesting contest that allows published and prize-winning poems as long as the author still has rights to them. So I sent two poems that have won small cash prizes, plus some others.

One of the prize-winners had fallen out of my computers, but was still on a diskette I located recently that has many other poems on it also. It will be exciting to get those lost children back into the fold.

I will need to dedicate some time to organize and copy the diskettes onto my desktop computer. Then I should be able to transfer all that work to the notebook via flash drive. That way, when I travel I can have any work I need to look up or revise with me. That’s assuming I’m not too old to travel by the time I get all that done.
