A Hot One

Most of the morning I spent reading the rest of a memoir. Each one I read gives me more ideas for adding things to mine.

This afternoon I took one of my memoir stories to the critique group and received a few suggestions. Reading it aloud prompted me to remember another incident to add at the end of the story.

After I had a swim, Al brought his new car home and let me drive it. Then he took me for a short ride in it, so I could play with all the bells and whistles. There’s a lot to learn. So many lights and icons on the dash and push buttons all over everywhere will keep us on a learning curve for a while.

He bought a 2005 Ford Focus four-door wagon, white with gray leather upholstery. It has a sun/moon roof and is pretty snazzy looking. It also rides very well. I started reading the owner’s manual and decided it should be tackled in small doses. Too much information is overwhelming.
