Hustle and Bustle

We are getting down to the wire and making lists. Old heads are forgetful. We leave on our European trip on Wednesday. I checked the weather in the places we will be in the next week and an umbrella seems like a good thing to pack. I wish it would rain here at home so I wouldn’t have to worry about all our plants drying out. The forecast is not hopeful in that respect.

I spent several hours today helping my daughter with sorting, packing and stacking at her former residence. There are items for Goodwill, some for a church sale, some to throw away, some to store, and many to move to the new home. They will have to finish the job without me.

My laptop will stay home on this trip, but I will take a journal for notes and stories as we travel. We will have five or six days at sea on the return trip, good for writing and maybe some swimming if I can get near a pool on the ship. Our cabin is close to one that may not be as crowded as the two in the center. I’m hopeful. We splurged on a balcony cabin for this trip. I hope it doesn’t rain all the time we’re at sea.

I’m going to try to post an interview on my blog tomorrow that is fairly long and can be read in sections, if desired. I will not be making entries while I’m gone.

When we return I should have stories of the trip to share.
