A Day of This n’That

After many months of writing a blog entry every day, it was all too easy to break the habit while we were away for a couple of weeks. Getting back into the swing of it is not as easy.

We finished marking all the photos from the trip today and I bought an album to put them in. After I take them to my son’s place tomorrow for him and his wife and his sister to see, I’ll bring them back and start filing them in the album. There are still pictures from other trips that haven’t made it into albums and maybe I can get some of those done in the near future, as well.

After shooting way up while we were gone, local gasoline prices have started down again and every day I postpone filling my car’s tank, hoping they will drop some more. I usually lose at that game, because what goes down will come up again sooner or later.

By inviting my cousin and his wife to visit in about a week, I have motivated myself to clear away several weeks’ accumulation of dust and debris. They don’t care if I’m a slob, but I do.

Al is helping me remember what we did on any given day on our vacation trip, so I can write it up for my travel log. Two heads our age are almost as good as one young one. We try not to forget the same things, but that doesn’t always work out.

We are enjoying fresh vegetables from Al’s sister’s garden and tomatoes from our own vines. We had very little luck with our other vegetables this year, but we still have lots of tomatoes, both red and green.
