No More Private Pool

After having been promised that our pool would be open until October 1st this year, I went down today for a swim. I’d skipped a few days because of sinus problems and was really looking forward to a dip. Surprise, the pool is closed. Apparently the managers were called out of town until October 3rd. That means I’ll have to get back to the Sherwood YMCA and their arthritis exercise classes in the indoor pool.

With Al’s help, I’m making some progress on the travel log entries. The second one is in the final polishing process and the draft of the third is started. The notes I took the first four or five days and the daily news sheet the ship printed (Princess Patter) help remind me of at least the highlights of our trip.

I’m trying to catch up on magazines that accumulated while we were gone and since we’ve returned. I have about a half dozen New Yorkers I haven’t opened yet and a few writing magazines, as well.

I still fall asleep if I stretch out in a recliner for very long. Al is rarely up past early evening since we returned. I am hopeful we will catch up on our sleep eventually.

We are enjoying our tomatoes, sliced and served with soft mozzarella cheese, as they were presented in a cafe’ in Paris. There is another crop still on the vines that may or may not ripen. Fortunately, Al likes fried green tomatoes.
