Finish with Photos

Yesterday when the weather was so lovely I wanted to be outdoors, I opened doors and windows to let the outside air in. I had a lot to do indoors. The pictures from the last trip needed to be properly arranged and put into an album When half of them were done, my right arm and the fingers on both hands began to ache and I had to quit.

We thought we were so smart to mark all the pictures immediately after we got them, but on further reflection, we realized there were several that we had incorrectly identified. There were also a few that had to be marked as follows: “Lighthouse, somewhere in the Atlantic,” or “Sunset at sea,” or just “Somewhere in Europe.” Such are the foibles of ancient brains.

Speaking of sunset, we are having a gorgeous one tonight. I can see it behind the trees outside my office window.

This afternoon I finished arranging the snapshots and placing them in the album. Now I need to make labels for the pages, since we obviously can’t remember very much for very long.

Then I need to get on with writing the rest of the travel log pages. If I’m not totally tired of the whole travelogue scene by then, I may do the Alaska cruise we took earlier this year.

I should really get outdoors to enjoy the last remnants of summer-into-fall, before the wonderful weather disappears
