Hittin’ the Road AgainSure hate to leave town when there’s so much excitement going on around the old homestead. The park manager came by today and said they are going to take down an old, messy tree outside our front window. Maybe they won’t get around to it until we get back, but we might miss the fun. A new neighbor moved a load of boxes in today and will, no doubt, finish moving in while we’re gone. But it will be fun to visit relatives I haven’t seen in a while. The aunt (my mother’s brother’s widow) I plan to see was up here for a visit with her son and wife (my cousins) three years ago and that’s the last time I saw her. The uncle, my father’s brother, I haven’t seen in nearly six years. We also plan to visit Death Valley. I was there about twenty-five years ago, but I’m sure there will be some differences. With my memory being the way it is, it may be totally different than I remember. I’m looking forward to some warm, maybe even hot, sun. Perhaps I can get rid of the sinus congestion that’s been plaguing me for the last month.
I’ll take my laptop and possibly get a chance to make a couple of blog entries while we’re gone. If not, at least I can write up some of the sights we see before I forget them.
