Relative Matters

We had a great day today with all four sisters, four cousins, a niece, and assorted spouses having dinner together and several hours of conversation. With contributions from many of the guests, the meal was delightful.

After early morning showers, the sun came out and shone through the colorful leaves on the trees surrounding the house. I swept fallen leaves and blossoms off the back patio and picked up huge maple leaves on the stepping stones out front so no one would slip on them.

In between chores and after dinner, three sisters played Scrabble. I’m the perennial loser. I seem to have a knack for drawing letters that dont make words.  But we enjoy laughing and talking.

Tomorrow should be a good day for resting. Bea will go to church early in the morning and we two sisters will lay abed, if we can sleep.
