Mind Bogglers

There are a couple of things on my mind tonight. One is some information I picked up from KGW’s 11:00 o’clock news. Unfortunately, I didn’t hear the whole story, just enough to alarm me. It seems that Big Brother has search engines snooping on everyone. They accumulate information from all over the web using a name. With your address, Google Earth can zero in on your house and yard and display it for the entire world to see. According to the reporter, you can opt out of the Google service, by going to the KGW web site and finding the correct link. A quick search of the website didn’t pinpoint the link for me. I’ll have to do more research on this very frightening report.

Earlier today, a phrase from television commercials was running through my head. “If you call right away, we will ?” Usually by this time I’ve pressed the Mute button and don’t hear the rest of this exciting announcement. What wonderful things might they do for us if we call right away? Board the next space ship for the moon, perhaps? Don’t I wish?
