A Poem and a Pain in the Forehead

Both of the blogs I read tonight, before starting to write this, were written by guys who were feeling chipper. I needed that, after losing all but two of about a dozen card games tonight. Some people can get such good cards they win, no matter how they goof up.

I wrote a poem today about all the hoopla on the news celebrating the possibility of snow in the lowlands. Actually, it’s probably just a rhyming verse, not actually poetry. But I’ve had a long dry spell with very few poems turning up in my brain, so it’s encouraging when some such thing appears.

The travel journals could not arouse my interest today. My clogged up sinuses make my head very heavy. However, if I lie down, I can’t breathe very well. Whine, whine. If I don’t feel better tomorrow, I’ll crawl back in bed until I do or, if all else fails, call the doctor.

Now, don’t you feel better? Unless you’re in worse shape than I am, you should. If I can find my nose drops, I’ll head for bed.
