Insulted by a Paperclip

Since I berated the animated paperclip on Word for supplying the wrong date, he wouldn’t put any date up at all tonight. Just sat there scratching his head and rolling his eyes at me. I know there’s a way to eliminate him and I think I’ll look into it.

The ultimate insult is offered when I set up a letterhead and he pops up with “It looks like you’re trying to write a letter.” Then something about offering to help. I have written letters for more than fifty years and I sure don’t need the help of a warped paperclip.

I had a good time today in writing class, reading my verse about the big production the weather newscasters make out of a few snowflakes. We must have way too many slow news days around here.

The cold wind and the dark, dreary rain affect many people in this part of the country this time of year. I hear the sadness when I read other blogs and forums. Maybe I’ll write more about that tomorrow.
